“With this exercise we want to assure Estonian people that Defence Forces works and people living in Estonia can feel safe here,” Deputy Commander Estonian Defence Forces, Brigadier General Artur Tiganik said. According to Tiganik, there is no imminent threat to Estonia´s security now.
Early in the morning the Commander of Estonian Defence Forces initiated an exercise to train the response to potential enemy activities. The exercise scenario is not aimed at any specific country and is purely defensive in nature.
The exercise is also to test the Defence Forces´ assembly and logistics capabilities, as well as to train information gathering and staff procedures.
