During Exercise Spring Storm, the 2nd Infantry Brigade receives indirect fire support from the Estonian Division's 25th Self-Propelled Howitzer Battalion. With precision ammunition, the K9 self-propelled howitzers can accurately strike targets up to 70 kilometres away.

President of the Republic of Estonia visited Spring Storm Exercise
On May 13, General Martin Herem, Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces, welcomed Estonia’s President Alar Karis to the Spring Storm exercise today to introduce the head of state to the course and activities of the exercise. Together, they visited various participating units, gaining an overview of their training and tasks during both peacetime and wartime.

Volunteers learned to operate HIMARS rocket launchers at Spring Storm
From May 10th to 11th, a training session was held at the Tapa military base for Artillery Battalion reservists who arrived for the Spring Storm exercise, preparing them for the deployment of HIMARS rocket launchers.

Spring Storm’s participants from Territorial Defence Units excel in local knowledge
Today, on May 11th, the Estonian Defence League’s Territorial Defence Region West were forming their reservists during the Spring Storm 2024 exercise. In Saaremaa, units will mainly be staffed with reservists who received additional training during last year's Parseltongue exercise.
